The Heart of Our Care

Meet Rachael Gregory (Gardner)

MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Founder | Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric & Adult Neurology

"I believe healthcare works best when patients feel seen, heard, and cared for—not just treated."

-Rachael Gregory (Gardner)

Rachael Gregory (Gardner) is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of healthcare experience and a passion for compassionate, whole-person neurological care. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to helping patients and families feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.

Rachael began her nursing career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where she spent 8 years caring for critically ill children and supporting families through some of their most difficult moments. Those years helped shape the patient-centered approach she carries into practice today—one rooted in compassion, education, and meaningful connection.

Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2011, Rachael has specialized in pediatric and adult neurology with focused expertise in epilepsy, seizure disorders, headache, and migraine management. She has worked extensively with epilepsy teams in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), developing experience in seizure evaluation, EEG interpretation, and individualized treatment planning.

Rachael has helped expand access to advanced neurological therapies, including Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) and Responsive Neurostimulation (RNS), helping patients with drug-resistant epilepsy access innovative treatment options closer to home. She has also participated in neurological research and clinical trials supporting advances in epilepsy and multiple sclerosis care. Patients consistently describe Rachael as compassionate, approachable, and attentive. She believes excellent neurological care extends beyond prescriptions and diagnoses—it includes listening well, educating patients and families, and supporting overall brain wellness.
As founder of Ally Neuromedical, Rachael’s vision is to provide evidence-based neurology care with a wellness-centered approach that supports both brain health and quality of life for children and adults throughout the community.

A few things Rachael loves outside of medicine: faith, spending time with her husband and four children, and helping others pursue healthier, more balanced lives.

Testimonials

Real Stories. Real Impact.

Bryan & Debra Wages

Rachael Gregory cared for my husband for over 10 years. We were so sad when we were no longer able to see her after moving. She has provided better care than any Neurologist we had seen before or since. My husband was treated for seizures triggered from a previous massive stroke. She cared for him and referred us to a surgeon that became the best recommendation ever. He has now had no seizures for 9 years after a period of 7 to 8 seizures a day. God brought her into our lives which was a true gift. She is caring and listens to her patients and is also very concise in her communication. Love her to pieces! My husband agrees!

Jayneen Casbarro

Our family had the privilege of working with Rachael during one of the most difficult times in our lives when Pete was being treated for his brain tumor.

From the very beginning, Rachael was compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. She took the time to listen, answer our questions, and explain things in a way that helped us understand and feel more at ease. During a time that was often overwhelming, her kindness and genuine concern meant more to our family than words can express.

What I appreciated most was that she never made us feel like just another patient. She treated Pete with dignity and respect and always made us feel heard and cared for. Her professionalism, combined with her warm and caring nature, provided comfort during a very challenging journey.

I am truly grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking neurological care. Reno is fortunate to have someone with her knowledge, compassion, and dedication serving our community.

Rachael, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the years you supported me throughout my epilepsy journey. From Renown Neurology to Alliance Neurology here in Reno, you were never just a provider—you were an advocate, a steady guide, and a voice of compassion during some of the most defining seasons of my life.

You walked with me through every major milestone.

From the VNS implant in 2016, where you helped me understand what to expect and reassured me through the unknown—to the right temporal lobectomy at UCSF in 2022, where your guidance, preparation, and encouragement gave me the courage to face one of the biggest decisions of my life—you were there, consistently fighting for my health, my stability, and my future.

Even now, as I continue growing through Celebrate Recovery, I can see how the foundation you helped build—hope, resilience, and confidence—still carries me forward. Your advocacy didn’t end at the clinic door. It shaped the way I approach healing, faith, and recovery today.

Thank you for being a champion for people living with epilepsy. Thank you for listening, for educating, for standing up for me, and for believing in what was possible even when the road was long. Your impact is woven into every step of my journey, and I will always be grateful.
